Gintama: Kintama Arc Movie Reveals Trailer
Gintama: Kintama Arc movie has revealed a new 60-second trailer ahead of its 3-week theatrical run in Japan starting on November 22. The arc had 4 episodes (253-256) in the anime, focusing on Sakata Kintoki, a blonde Gintoki look-alike. It will be re-edited for the limited release and include new footage which wasn’t in the original TV anime. You can watch the trailer below.

The voice cast for the Gintama: Kintama Arc movie is lead by Yuichi Nakamura and consists of:

- Rie Kugimiya as Kagura
- Satsuki Yukino as Tae Shimura
- Omi Minami as Tama
- Bin Shimada as Gengai Hiraga
- Mikako Takahashi as Sadaharu
- Tomokazu Sugita as Gintoki Sakata
The key visual for the theatrical release was released in August.
The TV anime adaptation for Gintama was animated by Sunrise until Season 4, which is when Bandai Namco Pictures took over. The anime has a total of 367 episodes, as well as numerous OVAs, movies and specials. The latest installment was the Gintama: The Very Final movie, which premiered in 2021.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English as Gin Tama, while Crunchyroll is streaming the anime. The story follows Gintoki Sakata, a legendary samurai with a sweet tooth who is now handling odd jobs. Together with his new friends, he has plenty of wacky adventures while also having to deal with his past and saving the world on the side. The Variable Arc movie focuses on Kintoki Sakata, a blonde Gintoki look-alike who takes his place.
The franchise also has the Gintama: Ginpachi-Sensei anime in production, set for an October 2025 release.
