Maomao and Jinshi Spend a Day Together in The Apothecary Diaries November Visual
The Apothecary Diaries anime revealed a new visual for Nekoneko Day (the 22nd of each month). This month’s theme is the fall leaves and it features Maomao and Jinshi:
The second season of the anime adaptation is currently in production. Last month’s visit featured Jinshi and Gaoshun, and the one before that Maomao and Xiaolan. Maomao and Jinshi were last together in July, with a visual themed around lotuses.
OLM and Toho Animation Studio animated the first season of the TV anime, based on a light novel series written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Toko Shino. Norihiro Naganuma directed the anime and also did the series composition. Yukiko Nakatani is in charge of the character designs. It’s worth noting that the series also has two manga adaptations, one by Nekokurage and one by Minoji Kurata. Crunchyroll describes the plot:
Maomao lived a peaceful life with her apothecary father. Until one day, she’s sold as a lowly servant to the emperor’s palace. But she wasn’t meant for a compliant life among royalty. So when imperial heirs fall ill, she decides to step in and find a cure! This catches the eye of Jinshi, a handsome palace official who promotes her. Now, she’s making a name for herself solving medical mysteries!
