Oshi no Ko Manga Officially Ends After Over 4 and a Half Years of Serialization
OSHI NO KO manga officially ends today in this year’s Weekly Young Jump issue 50, released on November 14 in Japan. The final volume of the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, Volume 16, will release on December 18 and include a 24-page original chapter that will unveil a ‘certain truth.’
The final volume of the series will be available in a special edition featuring a special cover, a book stand, and stickers.
Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) wrote the story for OSHI NO KOwhile it was illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish). It launched in April 2020 and was published by Shueisha in its Weekly Young Jump magazine. It was also announced today that the manga exceeded million circulating copies. Yen Press is publishing the manga in English.
HIDIVE is streaming both seasons of the OSHI NO KO TV anime by Doga Kobo. It was directed by Daisuke Hiramaki, with Kanna Hirayama as the character designer, Jin Tanaka on the series composition, and Takuri Iga on the music.
The story follows Dr. Goro Amemiya and the terminal patient Sarina as they get reincarnated as the children of their favorite idol, Ai Hoshino. Looking into the dark side of the entertainment industry, the story quickly takes a dark turn and sees the two living a life headed toward revenge as Aqua and Ruby Hoshino.
