Senpai Is an Otokonoko Anime Announces Movie Sequel
Senpai is a boy anime announced a sequel movie after today’s finale of the TV anime. The movie will premiere on February 14, 2025 in Japan. Check out the teaser trailer:
Studio Project No.9 animated the TV anime under Shinsuke Yanagi’s direction. Yoriko Tomita was in charge of the series composition and Shoto Shinkai was credited as the character designer. Shinkai and Project No.8 are also credited as chief animation directors. Yukari Hashimoto composed the music. The main cast includes:
- Shuuichiro Umeda as Makoto
- Yuma Uchida as Ryuji Taiga
- Akira Sekine as Saki Aoi
The anime adapts Pom’s digital manga, serialized from 2019 to 2021. Crunchyroll is streaming the series and describes the plot:
For Makoto Hanaoka, life’s about to get more complicated. Saki Aoi, a lively girl with loads of confidence, confesses her love for Makoto one day. When he fails to reciprocate, Saki declares she will be his first love! She shares her goal with a mutual friend, Ryuji Taiga, who also confesses his crush on Makoto. Stuck in a love triangle, Makoto must find a way to make it work and have fun.
