Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 Reveals Trailer and New Cast for Nephilim Hollow Arc
Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 has revealed a new trailer and cast members for the upcoming Nephilim Hollow arc. The new arc will begin next week on November 17. Studio C2C is animating, with the second season set to run for two consecutive cours. Nephilim Hollow is another game Sunraku will be going back, and you can watch the trailer below.
The new cast additions include Rie Takahashi as Rust and Kaito Ishikawa as Mordo.
The anime previously revealed two other cast additions, introducing Akane Akitsu and Ceecrue and featuring them in a new visual. Akane is another player marked by one of The Seven Collosi, while Ceecrue is her helper from Rabituza. They are yet to appear in the new season.
The first season also ran for 2 consecutive cours from October 2023. Returning to direct the sequel is Toshiyuki Kubooka, along with Kurashima Ayumi as the character designer and chief animation director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu in charge of the series composition, and the trio of Hirokawa Keiichi, Takada Ryuichi amd Takahashi Kuniyuki in charge of the music.
The main voice cast for the anime consists of:

- Yoko Hikasa as Arthur Pencilgon/Towa Amane
- Makoto Koichi as Oicazzo/Kei Uomi
- Rina Hidaka as Emul
- Akio Otsuka as Vysache
The original Shangri-La Frontier manga by Ryosuke Fuji (art) and Katarina (story) adapts the web novel by the latter, which has been serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website since May 2017. The manga adaptation is published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazineand it was also licensed in English by Kodansha USA.
The story follows Rakuro Hizutome, a player going by the name of Sunraku, who loves playing ‘shitty games’ and beating them despite all their bugs and flaws. He then finds a ‘god-tier’ game, Shangri-La Frontier, which he then learns to enjoy, meeting some old gamer friends and looking forward to discovering the most interesting features in the huge world.
