The Catcher in the Ballpark Gets TV Anime
A TV anime adaptation has been announced for The Catcher in the Ballpark! (Ballpark de Tsukamaete!) manga series. Studio EMT Squared will handle the animation, and the anime is set to premiere in 2025. A teaser visual and trailer were revealed, along with the main staff and voice cast.
The main voice cast consists of Fairouz Ai as Ruriko and Satoshi Inomata as Murata. You can see both in the teaser visual (Murata is on the screen in the background).

Junichi Kitamura is directing the The Catcher in the Ballpark! anime, with Shigeru Murakoshi in charge of the series composition, Fumi Iida as the character designer, and Monaca on the music. Tatsuro Suga writes and draws the The Catcher in the Ballpark! manga. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Morning magazine in September 2020 and is currently ongoing. There is a total of 15 released volumes as of November 21, 2025.
The story is described as a heartwarming baseball love comedy dedicated to everyone involved in professional baseball, ‘filled with smiles and tears!’ It involves a gal beer vendor who is really an ‘ultra-pure-hearted girl.’
