The Elusive Samurai Announces Season 2
The Elusive Samurai Season 2 has been announced after today’s finale. Check out the announcement:
The anime aired from July 4 to October 6, 2024. Studio CloverWorks was in charge of the animation, with Yuta Yamazaki as the director. The main voice cast consists of:
- Asaki Yuikawa as Tokiyuki Hojo
- Yuichi Nakamura as Yorishige Suwa
- Hinaki Yano as Shizuku
- Mari Hino as Kojiro
- Sayumi Suzushiro as Ayako
- Aoi Yuki as Genba Kazama
- Kikunosuke Toya as Fubuki
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Takauji Ashikaga
Yusei Matsui, also known as the creator of The Assassination Classroomwrites and draws The Elusive Samurai manga, which is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump. It began in 2021, and Viz Media licensed the series in English. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.
The story follows young Tokiyuki Hojo, who suffers betrayal and loses his entire family after the enigmatic Takauji Ashikaga decides to rise up himself. He is saved and guided by Yorishige Suwa, a mysterious eccentric clairvoyant who uses his godly powers to help Tokyikuki gather his army and prepare to take revenge.
